# SIA for OneDrive

For most Microsoft-based teams, the resumes they already have are sitting in a OneDrive folder. Connecting OneDrive lets SIA read those resumes directly, up to 200 files at a time, instead of you dragging files onto an upload page one batch at a time.

### Connecting OneDrive

[Video: Connecting OneDrive](https://senseloaf.guides.markdrop.in/docs-assets/import/sia-connectors/sia-for-onedrive/connecting-onedrive.mp4)

1. In Chat, open [**Connectors**](https://sia.senseloaf.ai/settings/connectors) from the sidebar
2. Find the **OneDrive** card and click **Connect OneDrive**
3. A Microsoft sign-in tab opens — sign in with the Microsoft 365 account that has access to the resumes you want SIA to read
4. Review the permissions shown — this covers OneDrive access only — and click **Allow**
5. You're redirected back to Chat and the card now reads **Connected**

### What you can do once connected

Once OneDrive is connected, SIA can find and use whatever's already sitting in your folders:

* **Scan your OneDrive to find where resumes live** — SIA looks at folder and file names to locate candidate folders. It only reads file names at this stage, never the contents, until you ask it to screen something
* **Screen an entire folder against a job** — point SIA at the folder and it screens everyone in it with grades, instead of uploading files one at a time
* **Add a whole folder to your talent pool** — without matching those resumes to a specific job yet
* **Open a shared OneDrive link** — if someone sends you a link to a resume, SIA can read it directly since it sits behind a Microsoft login that a plain link can't get through on its own
* **Read a single document** — a take-home assignment, a portfolio, a job description, or interview notes
* **Save a shortlist or candidate brief back to OneDrive** — as a text or markdown file

### Try it in chat

```text wrap title="Save files on OneDrive"
Save this shortlist to my OneDrive as 'Backend shortlist'.
```

```text wrap title="Import Data"
Add my whole 'Talent Bench' folder to the talent pool.
```

```text wrap title="Screen Candidates"
Screen everything in my 'Q3 Backend Applicants' folder against the Senior Backend role.
```

### A few things to note

* **Importing doesn't screen anything automatically.** You still confirm the screening step before SIA acts — importing and screening are separate actions.
* **Large batches run in the background.** If a folder is too large to process in one go, SIA continues in the background and tells you what it skipped and why — nothing is silently left out.
* **Scanning reads file names only.** SIA looks at folder and file names to find resumes — it never reads the contents of your files until you explicitly ask it to screen something.
* **Saving back to OneDrive works for text and markdown files.** Pushing an existing file — like a PDF you attached in chat — into OneDrive isn't supported yet.

### Disconnecting OneDrive

1. Go to [**Connectors**](https://sia.senseloaf.ai/settings/connectors) in the sidebar
2. On the OneDrive card, click **Disconnect**

This revokes SIA's access to OneDrive only — your Word and Excel connections, if you have them, are unaffected.
