# AI Smart Search & Smart Filters

Senseloaf gives you two powerful ways to cut through your candidate list-\
1\. **AI Smart Search** for natural language queries, and \
2\. **Smart Filters** for precise, criteria-based filtering. 

Use them independently or together depending on how specific your needs are.

### 1. AI Smart Search

The search bar sits at the top of the Candidate Listing page. Type what you're looking for in plain, everyday language and Senseloaf interprets it automatically — no rigid syntax, no dropdowns, no guesswork.

Results are ranked and relevant, and the search auto-corrects typos so you don't have to worry about exact spelling.

**What you can search for**

AI Smart Search understands a wide range of signals including skills, location, job roles, companies, industries, experience level, education, candidate grade and quality, interview and prescreening performance, and application dates.

**Example queries**

*"Show me the top candidates with expired interviews in last 10 days"*

*"React developers in Bangalore with grade A"*

*"Top interview candidates"*

You can mix and match criteria in a single query, role, location, grade, status, and more, and Senseloaf interprets the full intent and returns matching results.

### 2. Smart Filters

Smart Filters give you precise, criteria-based control over your candidate list. The filter panel sits on the left side of the Candidate Listing page — each section is collapsible so you expand only what you need.

The candidate count updates live as you make selections, so you always know how many candidates match before applying.

**Selecting, applying, and clearing**

Click any filter category to expand it and choose your criteria. Filters work together — the more you select, the more refined the list. Click **Apply** to update the candidate list, or **Clear** to remove all active filters at once.

Active filters appear as tags at the top of the listing so you can always see what's currently applied at a glance.

**Filter categories**

* **Overall Grade** — filter by the candidate's combined evaluation grade across all stages
* **AI Matching** — filter by resume matching grade (E through A) and score range using the percentage slider
* **AI Prescreening** — filter by prescreening grade and completion status (Invited, In Progress, Completed, Partially Completed, Expired), with live counts next to each option. Filter by invite date range (7d, 14d, 30d, or custom)
* **AI Interview** — filter by interview grade and score range, with the same status options as prescreening
* **Industry Snapshot** — filter by business type (B2B, B2C), industry (SaaS, Fintech, Healthtech, Consulting, and more), and operating model (Product-led, Service-led)
* **Work History** — filter by past roles and experience
* **Education** — filter by educational background
* **Contact Info** — filter by location and other contact details
